On 14th of June 2026, Dcolonize Project made a formal submission to the Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion, established in the wake of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack of 14 December 2025.

Our submission affirms without reservation that antisemitism is a serious form of hatred that must be confronted. It also argues that antisemitism cannot be effectively addressed in isolation — and that a framework which protects one community while leaving others without equivalent recognition will not build social cohesion. It will fracture it.

The submission calls on the Commission to adopt the Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism over the IHRA definition, implement the National Anti-Racism Framework as a whole-of-society architecture, and resist any expansion of surveillance powers or restrictions on the right to peaceful protest.
